Campus information

Since the University opened the doors of the Quadrangle in 1845, the campus has always been developing to accommodate ever-increasing numbers of students. From the majestic Arts Millennium Building to the Marine Science Institute, and the Cairnes Graduate School of Business and Public Policy, Galway's large campus and buildings reflect the many disciplines and students that are catered for. The campus offers high class facilities for teaching and research and a wealth of amenities for a rich and fulfilling student life. Students can take part in many sports and recreational activities in the Student Centre, or de-stress in the brand-new Sports centre.

Galway's train station is just off Eyre Square. The city's very well serviced by rail and only 2.5 hours away from Dublin. Student can travel to Galway using frequent services offered by public bus service,  or use on of the private bus services such as CityLink or GoBus. Direct (non-stop buses) take 2.5 hours. From the city centre, student can take a taxi to the university, or take the No.4 Bus in the direction of Newcastle from Eyre Square, near the train station, which is the normal drop-off point for buses.
