BSc (Hons) Information Systems (Data Analytics)

This programme focuses on the study of technologies and analytical skills, with core subjects in data mining, business intelligence, knowledge management, social media analytics, big data analytics in the Cloud and others. The emergence and advancement of multimedia, social media and the Internet is fuelling exponential growth in data captured by enterprises. The ability to harness and analyse massive data creates significant value for businesses, enterprises and governments. It enables better decision making for business profitability, enhanced consumer satisfaction and disaster management. Graduates with expertise in business analytics are in high demand globally.

• STPM: Average C+ or CGPA 2.33 (minimum 2 Principals)
• A-Level: Minimum 12 points. Points are calculated based on grades obtained for 2 or 3 subjects
• Australian Matriculation: ATAR 60
• Canadian Matriculation: 60%
• Monash University Foundation Year: 60%
• Sunway Foundation in Arts: CGPA 2.3
• Sunway Foundation in Science Technology: CGPA 2.3
• Unified Examination Certificate: Maximum 26 points from 5 subjects (all Grade Bs including Mathematics)
• International Baccalaureate: Completed with minimum 25 points (excluding bonus points)
• Sunway Diploma Studies: CAVG 60% or CGPA 2.50 (* Students may obtain advanced standing if credit transfer requirements are met.)
• Other Qualifications: Any other equivalent qualifications. Applicant with no standard qualification will be considered on a case-to-case basis
• Mathematics Requirement: SPM/ O-Level: Credit or its equivalent.
