All of Birkbeck’s international partnerships have been designed to allow the free exchange of ideas and to promote training for academic staff, whilst progression agreements have been articulated to allow overseas students to combine their studies with a degree at Birkbeck.

There are several options for you to choose from when it comes to where you would like to live while you are studying at Birkbeck. While the majority of our students decide to live in private accommodation, we also have places available in University of London intercollegiate halls and an agreement with UNITE, a specialist provider of student accommodation, which entitles full-time Birkbeck students to apply for places within their halls of residence.

At Birkbeck you can choose as much or as little of the standard university experience as you like. You might work during the day, study in one of Bloomsbury’s world-famous libraries or do something completely different. Many people are drawn to Birkbeck because we support and and enable diverse life choices.

You will have access to the sport facilities, societies, music venues, bars and cafes of Student Central, right next door to our main building in Bloomsbury.
