Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza Tarudin was conferred the Honorary Degree of Master of Creative Arts and Media (Honoris Causa) by the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Sunway University, in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the arts and creative industry, as well as her inspiring journey as one of Malaysia’s most celebrated cultural icons.

The honorary degree was presented during Sunway University’s 30th Convocation Ceremony, celebrating her remarkable achievements and enduring influence on Malaysia’s creative landscape. Widely regarded as the nation’s premier songstress, Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza has built an illustrious career spanning more than three decades, earning acclaim not only as an award-winning performer but also as an entrepreneur, philanthropist and cultural ambassador.

The conferment recognises her significant role in elevating Malaysia’s arts and entertainment industry both locally and internationally. Through her dedication to her craft, commitment to excellence and ability to connect with audiences across generations, she has become an inspiration to aspiring artists and young Malaysians alike.

Dato’ Sri Siti Nurhaliza expressed her appreciation for the recognition, saying, “Receiving the Honorary Degree of Master of Creative Arts and Media from Sunway University is a tremendous honour, and I am truly grateful to Sunway University for this recognition.
