About Charles Darwin University

Charles Darwin University (CDU) is a dual-sector university, which means we offer a full specturm of education and training opportunities in Higher Education (HE) and Vocational Education and Training (VET). The Northern Territory community has responded to this with the highest per capita participation in Higher Education in the country. CDU has 6,000 students from interstate, and around the world from 100 nationalities. The University’s adaptive and altruistic culture has allowed it to not only survive, but thrive in a changing world.

CDU is a nationally recognised university that can help you achieve your goals in a supportive and friendly environment. When studying at CDU you will enjoy living in a tropical location, while making life-long friends with other students from a variety of multi-cultural backgrounds. It won’t take you long to feel at home with CDU.

CDU is one of seven members of Australia's Innovative Research Universities network, which involves members directing knowledge, capabilities and resources to enhance the outcomes of higher education. CDU sits alongside Flinders, Griffith, James Cook, La Trobe, Murdoch and Newcastle universities in the network.
