The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (Hons) program is structured to provide students with comprehensive knowledge and skills in various aspects of agriculture, including crop cultivation, integrated pest management, seed conditioning, agricultural chemicals, fertilizers, and agricultural technology. With a focus on both theory and practical applications, the curriculum aims to equip students with the technical expertise required for success in the food and fiber industry. Students will learn to analyze challenges faced by farmers and develop sustainable solutions within the constraints of available resources. Additionally, students will gain hands-on experience through practical training, allowing them to apply their knowledge in real-world settings. Intakes
Entry Requirements
Any one of these:
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) (10+2) with a minimum of Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any two (2) subjects, or its equivalent; and possess Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one science subject and one any other subject, or its equivalent;
- Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid, or its equivalent; and possess SPM with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one science subject and one any other subject, or its equivalent;
- Matriculation/ Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, or its equivalent, and possess SPM with three (3) credits in Mathematics, one science subject and one any other subject, or its equivalent;
- A Diploma (Level 4, Malaysian Qualification Framework) in a related field with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, or its equivalent.
English Proficiency Requirements (Interntational Students):
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.5 or its equivalent.
If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPs must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the program.
