Curriculum

On this course you will learn the key components of the HRM practitioner’s role, and you should come with an open mind and a willingness to engage with the very wide variety of content you’ll be presented with.

The areas you will cover include managing people, recruitment, employment law, leadership and employee relations. You will also study management, strategy and training and development.

The course has been carefully designed to mirror the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development’s learning outcomes, so you can be sure that you will be taught the latest thinking.

You will also produce a dissertation on a relevant topic of your choice, ensuring this has a strong strategic as well as a theoretical rationale.

As a pre-requisite, the topic you choose must be grounded within a company or organisation.  Recent dissertation topics have included the female talent pipeline in the mobile phone industry and assessing the readiness for change in a large marketing company.
