Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) offers myriad opportunities to enhance academic life, including specialized honours curricula, study abroad and service-learning. This university is accredited by Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools

Campus information

Virginia Commonwealth University has two main campuses which are Monroe Park Campus (90.6 acres) and MCV Campus (52.4 acres). There are totally 31,899 students enrolling in this university. The programs offered in this university include 63 Baccalaureate, 74 Master’s, 38 Doctorate, 3 First professional and 44 Certificate programs.

At Virginia Commonwealth University, there is a rich tradition of fostering creativity and the arts. VCU, an NCAA Division I and Atlantic 10 athletic conference member, sponsors 16 intercollegiate sports with more than 250 student-athletes. In addition, there are intramurals, fitness programs, outdoor adventure trips and special sporting events.

While on-campus dining options abound, the variety of restaurants throughout the city of Richmond give the VCU community plenty of flavors to choose from. There are various shopping ranging from local boutiques to high-end stores.

Accommodation

VCU also offers first-year students the chance to live in residential villages where you’ll be next door or down the hall from students with similar interests or majors. In these villages — Artist’s Colony, Doctor’s Lounge, The Boardroom and Clinical Corner — you’ll experience faculty presentations, participate in field trips, take part in movie nights and guest lectures, and easily form study groups with your neighbors.

Our newest residence hall, West Grace Street Student Housing – South, houses students in the Academic Scholars Program in Real Environments — an innovative and comprehensive community engagement-focused living-learning program for sophomores.
