About Franklin College

Established in 1834 and located in the suburban town of Franklin, Franklin College is a non-governmental institution that has currently over 1000 undergraduate students enrolled at its 207 acres. There are more than 30 majors for students to choose from and they can even acquire for assistance for math, writing, and technology from the library’s Academic Resource Centre. A 4-1-4 based academic calendar is utilized by this institution.

Outside of the classrooms, students can spend their leisure hours by taking a walk to the nearest roller rink, visit a movie theater, and win a few rounds at a bowling alley. Other than that, students can also drive or rent a car to Indianapolis for sightseeing at the museums, parks, clubs, and even professional sports to participate.

On campus grounds, Franklin College supervises over 60 active student organisations which pose a great opportunity for students to participate to get to meet new people. For students who have a strong pursuit of sports and outdoor activities, they can also consider playing in basketball, football, and other games. There are other sports choices too for the more serious athletes such as the Grizzlies varsity sports teams.

Franklin College has a student-faculty ratio of 11:1 with 70.1 percent participating in classes with less than 20 students. For the 1,016 students that are enrolled into the institution in their respective courses, their most favourite majors at the College include Business/Commerce, General; Biology/Biological Sciences, General; Journalism; Education; and General; Psychology.

As mentioned earlier, the majority of students prefer to live on-campus and they make up to 48 percent whereas the other 27 percent choose to live off campus.
