The University of Michigan-Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute (UM-SJTU JI) is a fast growing young institute of world-class international engineering education. With the strong commitment and support from its two parent universities, the JI has established a high-quality international faculty team and a professional administrative support system.

Campus information

The University of Michigan – Shanghai Jiao Tong University Joint Institute is located in the main campus of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in southwest Shanghai. The campus is located about 30 minutes by car from the Shanghai center (Xujiahui), 20 minutes by car from Hongqiao Airport, and 50 minutes by car from Pudong Airport.  Within the SJTU campus, the Joint Institute is located on Yuan Pei Road near the intersection with Xuan Huai Avenue, in the Koguan Law School Building.
