About Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) Shenzhen Campus

In 2002, Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Graduate School (HITSZ) was given the green lights for approval by the Ministry of Education. This institution was in fact co-founded by Harbin Institute of Technology and the Shenzhen Government in the same year. For over a decade, HITSZ has created and developed a wide range of full-time graduate course programmes and scholarships for students in a complete and organised system. As the institution is a significant component to HIT, it is also equally committed to becoming a research-oriented institution through efforts in delving into investigating higher education reform and internationalising their whole function as a system and institution.

At HITSZ, they provide some of the highest quality of teaching facilities and faculty team. Within the group of full-time faculty members, 100% possess a doctoral degree, 67% have been abroad for studies or lived there, 60% have been given the title of “High-Level Talents of Shenzhen”, and several of their available professors have been recognised globally and locally. At present, approximately 3000 master and doctoral candidates are furthering their studies in the campus with the institution’s major causes taught in either English or bilingually in both English and Chinese using original English textbooks.

With its growing campus culture and students and academic staff' potential and success, HITSZ continues to strive in becoming a primary institution providing the best education in natural sciences and engineering.

Campus information

As a member of the University Town of Shenzhen, HIT Shenzhen Graduate School shares public facilities with Graduate Schools of Tsinghua and Peking University:

  • Shenzhen Science & Technology Library
  • Sport Center (gymnasium, stadium, and a swimming pool)
  • International Conference Center(in construction)

On campus facilities include library, hospital, bank, post office, shops, cafeteria, and dry cleaning. Students have access to smaller size sports venues at each of the three schools where they can play table tennis, badminton, football, basketball and volley ball.

Harbin Institute of Technology Shenzhen Graduate School (HITSZ) is located in Xili, Nanshan District, with its main entrance at Pinshan Road. The campus is also situated near various facilities, making it easy and convenient for students to go about their daily lives. You can find few medical facilities, banking facilities malls and many others, nearby. To get to the campus of HITSZ, you may take the following means of transportation:

Metro
Metro Line 5 (HuanZhong Line) will take you to The University Town of Shenzhen. It is about 15mins walk from Exit C to our campus.
